John Wise - Associate Attorney

John Wise is an Austin based criminal defense attorney. He joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2006. A Texas native, he was born in Kerrville, Texas and grew up in San Antonio. In 2002, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, Mr. Wise worked with the United States Geological Survey in Glacier National Park researching the impact of climate change on the park and then as a teacher in San Antonio. Mr. Wise attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law. During law school he was chair of the student chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, and a board member of Texas Law Fellowships. He worked for several law firms and organizations during school, including the Texas Civil Rights Project, Texas Defender Service, and Deats, Durst, Owen, & Levy, P.L.L.C. His work experience cemented his commitment to social justice and civil rights issues. Mr. Wise received his J.D. in 2006 and was licensed by the State Bar of Texas in the same year. He is a member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association, the Texas Bar Association, and Austin Young Lawyers.

Michelle Price - Paralegal

Michelle Price joined the firm in 2006 as a legal assistant. As an experienced paralegal, Ms. Price has worked for the Harris County District Attorney's Office, Harrison & Rial, L.L.P., Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P., and Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. She was also the office administrator and a medical assistant at the Texas Bone and Joint Institute. Michelle manages the firm's dockets and assists the attorneys with all firm business.
